This is somewhere I put a lot of focus; the re-introduction of philosophy into certain modern conversation.
I don't spend time bashing people round the head with philosophical academia - there's no quicker way to put people off - but instead just to point out, where possible, that there's more to most personal and social discussions these days than what people might like to think.

We should enjoy each day to the fullest while also being mindful of the impact our actions may have down the road.
I agree with this. A lot of people who suggest we "live in the moment" also make the false assumption that the past is gone and the future simply doesn't exist.
These abstractions of past, present and future are actually somewhat false abstractions, as there is only a process there of whatever we can call the past becoming the present, and then on to the future.
Taking that into consideration, you're 100% right with what you say there, because what we do in this present moment will absolutely influence the next moment - even though it "doesn't exist yet."
