A few years back I read Gabor Maté's "Hold On To Your Kids: Why parents need to matter more than peers"

Lately, I don't know why but I've been getting the urge to re-read that. Maybe I didn't take enough in from the first time round, but I can recommend it and say you might find some of it interesting. More than interesting, actually - useful.
