The argument that people who prefer to work from home are just lazy is, quite simply, a shallow and unfounded one.
So long as their productivity doesn't suffer, it can often be, as you pointed out, just practical for them to work from home. Not only financially, but it also allows them to not have to "walk out of their life" for 8-12 hours a day while they go to the office or whatever it is.
That being said, I'd also like to see as many jobs as possible being automated, so that not only office workers are enabled this extra luxury of being able to have more of a focus on home and family.
Everyone's being screwed over so that a privileged few can live ridiculously decadent lifestyles. I would like to see that come to an end.
